Not only do we love burgers, we are five of the biggest burger fanatics you'll find. We love burgers. We are the Burger Guyz - Jerry Tranovich, Anthony Fuda, Scott Long, Eric Tranovich, and James Chismark.

A fondness of great hamburgers has brought the five of us together on a relentless quest to find the absolute best burgers in the Mahoning Valley. We have made it our mission to visit the most popular eateries, as determined by our readers, and then report back with all of our findings. We are now bringing that mission to the pages of The Vindicator.

Once a month, we’ll be showcased in Valley Food. But all the other days and hours of the month, watch for us on vindy.com as we blog and boast about the places we’ve been or are going to, and the comments and bits we pick up along the way.

Title: President and Founder, Valley Vino Wine Club, whose mission is to bring valley wine and food lovers together at least twice a month at locally owned restaurants and clubs for a great evening of food and wine.

Experience: Brian has traveled the world in search of great wine and food including trips to California, Oregon Washington, France, Italy, Australia and New Zealand. He worked five years as a Fine Wine Specialist for two distributors before launching Valley Vino Wine Club. He served as Wine Director for The Youngstown Club and Avalon Golf and Country Club. Brian passed the Level One Sommelier exam in March of 2015 and is a proud member of the American Court of Master Sommeliers.He is now a consulting Sommelier for several local clubs and restaurants.

It all began with a boy, a deck and a dream. The Mahoning Valley Flight Crew can trace its humble beginnings back to the summer of 2009. It was then when our founder and club president, Jason Jugenheimer, summoned a few neighbors to join him on his deck one evening to enjoy a beer, after he had just finished manicuring his lawn. Jason had just signed up for a “Craft Beer Challenge” with a local retailer, whose mission was to get patrons to try 100 different craft beers, by the end of the year. So, with the recruitment of a few neighbors, and the addition of a few friends, our local neighborhood beer club took root.
