They get the summer off (2.5 months) Christmas break, Spring Break, Thanksgiving (2 days), Columbus Day, Memorial Day, MLK day...almost all jobs receive time off from work, and teachers are busy over the summer teaching summer school and planning lessons for the next school term...
As a lifelong bicycle rider, I can tell you that ORC treats bicycles the same as a motor vehicle and bikes must obey all traffic laws...including NOT riding against traffic...tragedy all around in this instance
