I am so tired of druggie trash being in our community and covered under the rug as people mis-guided or making bad decisions for themselves.
People on drugs are unneeded and unwanted and unnecessary in our community. They cost us responsible taxpayers too much money and our children do not need to see this scum out and about.
Shall we talk about the terror many of them bring to our community through criminal activities?
Heroin and other drug overdoses a problem? I say let the problem sort itself out WITHOUT intervention.

Look at the sheriff race when Wellington retired.Jerry Greene, in my opinion, was not qualified to be sheriff and in a vindy article date Sun, February 26, 2012 admitted, "“I’ve been mostly a jailer my entire career,” said Greene, adding that operating the county jail is the sheriff’s primary responsibility." There is a whole new and large world outside of the jail when you are sheriff, right? Jerry Greene was only a bugs ass in the county sheriff spectrum and the only business meeting I had with Jerry Greene I was not impressed with his lack of maturity.
And also was reported, "In his role as support-services director, Greene oversees food and medical services, alcohol and drug treatment, and General Educational Development programing within the jail, he said." What I get out of that is the job title Director of Clerks.
While Jimmy Hughes was on the front lines and had the pulse of our community. Jimmy Hughes knew the players and the scorecard and worked and worked and worked. We had a great social, taxpaying community and also police community that ran efficiently and well.
Why would any reasonable black leader take the initiative to battle the "good ol' boy" mentality after that ludicrous election? How many ludicrous elections before that one? How do you run an election overcoming the 'stick to the white guy' mentality when the 'reins are passed' on a local level?
The Democratic Party will allow endorsement of anyone voted on by their popularity in the committee/election process (quite corrupt process), but beyond that the Democratic Party really doesn't give a damn- think of all whom have been Democratically endorsed while under indictment, right?
So after the corruption process that the black candidate must survive, next comes getting the mans, the white mans, approval, so is the black candidate supposed to be white in all forms of attitude and language and substance? Another O.J. Simpson?
Who pays for all of this? And lets save space by not going down the path of black vs white economic differences, shall we?
For sure the best candidate for the job is not either running for nor getting elected to the job, no doubt, but Youngstown residents are followers, sheeple and a system is needed to add that dynamic to the equation of electing a black judge. A system of marketing showmanship not seen since Don King or Donald Trump.
You appealed to the intellect and then use sarcasm as humor (i.e. "(FYI – romance films make for a better home life over “Dumb and Dumber” films.)) completely tripping over and mentally ripping apart the mental stage that was set.
Amateur error forgetting basic writing 'laws'. No one stated that conversational writing was difficult, but certainly it is easy to spot writing when minimal effort was applied.
As a reader of the vindy, even a free reader, I and the rest of us do deserve a professional article, yes?
Kasich has rose colored blinders on. Rose colored glasses will not help my day to day activities nor my retirement planning.
I need the facts and the facts are truly doom and gloom. Sure there are good things, but seeing good things and having a plan to attain good things are two very different ideologies. Planning to attain means knowing the obstacles in your path.
Kasich in this regard is a pussy cat and should never have attained the government level of being State Governor. Democrat or Republican is irrelevant, Kasich vision is not reality.

20,000 people staying local in Cleveland, but 80,000 travelling to this venue- yes at 6:00 AM.

Perhaps giving Rte 11 North to I90 West may be a better route to attempt.
As for the commentators whom posted above, Skolnick and Desouza do their jobs. The problems are the vindy owners and their flawed behind the times "thinking".
Absolutely wonderful to see these OVI checkpoints again and again. Great locations as always. Well spread out over the racial areas- no one gets a pass.
Also, hopefully YPD will educate APD on how to do their jobs. Immaturity and inability go hand in hand at APD, yes?
