Reviewing Reagan’s record
Opinion: At this point in his first term, President Ronald Reagan’s unemployment rate was 9.4 percent; President Obama’s is 9.1.
Government jobs are killing us
Opinion: At the risk of incurring the wrath and rants of David Betras, Democratic Party chairman, and his union followers, I have to comment. I am not registered with either party and vote for the candidate and not the party and urge others to do so.
A computer isn’t the postman
Opinion: There’s been a lot of talk lately about the postal service switching to a three-day-a-week delivery schedule. They feel that computers and private delivery services such as FedEx and UPS can handle the job. YSU’s success is the priority
Opinion: Ohio Revised Code states that the Youngstown State University Board of Trustees “shall do all things necessary for the creation, proper maintenance, and successful continuous operation of the university.” As members of the YSU Board of Trustees we take that charge and our fiduciary responsibility seriously, and that is why we are writing this letter today.
Finally, a Democrat with guts
Opinion: It was a political smack down that resonated throughout the state of Ohio. But the ramifications go way beyond House Minority Leader Armond Budish, D-Beachwood, refusing to be a patsy for Speaker William Batchelder, R-Medina.
