Campbell’s 4 scores power Spartans; Fitch edges Hoover

Boardman High running back Devin Campbell carried 24 times for 177 yards and scored four touchdowns as the Spartans dominated the second half of Friday’s game at Massillon Jackson, winning the Federal League game, 42-21.
Campbell ran for three touchdowns and also caught a 33-yard TD pass from Ryan Pollifrone to lead the Spartans (5-2, 4-0), who entered the game 11th in the Division I, Region 1 computer ratings.
Pollifrone completed 9 of 15 passes for 180 yards and also ran seven times for 40 yards as Boardman outscored Jackson 22-0 in the second half.
Cooper Merrill carried 25 times for 130 yards and Jim Dehnke ran 20 times for 106 yards and three TDs for the Polar Bears (4-3, 0-3), who led 21-13 with 2:30 left in the second quarter.
Fitch 14, Hoover 7
NORTH CANTON
Quarterback Matt Futkos contributed a 55-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Grover and an 11-yard scoring run for the Falcons (4-3).
Futkos completed nine of 14 passes for 138 yards and rushed for 102 yards on 22 carries. His top receiver was Chris Davis with three receptions for 26 yards.
For the Vikings (2-5), Justin Smith scored a 1-yard touchdown. He had 12 carries for 57 yards as the Falcons limited the Vikings to 84 yards on 34 rushes.
Vikings quarterback Austin Appleby completed 17 of 42 passes for 284 yards. Austin Feinberg caught five for 93 yards.
Cardinal Mooney 47, Mifflin County 7
LEWISTOWN, PA.
The Cardinals (4-2) out-rushed their Pennsylvania opponent, 365-34. Roosevelt Griffin had six carries for 118 yards including touchdown runs of 30 and 3 yards. Justus Ellis-Moore scored a 35 yard touchdowns and gained 75 yards on five carries.
Mark Handel scored on runs of 25 and 6 yards. Also scoring touchdowns were quarterback P.J. Quinn (15 yards) and Marcus McWilson (10).
Brookfield 21, Ash. Edgwoood 14
ASHTABULA
Ryan Mosora rushed for 238 yards and scored two touchdowns to lead Brookfield (6-1).
Collin Harkulich also reached the end zone on a 40-yard pass from Brandon Mosora, who was 4 of 10 for 100 yards. Harkulich caught two passes for 74 yards for the Warriors.
Edgewood (1-5) was held to 176 total yards.
Yo. Christian 27, Imani Christian 14
CANFIELD
Anthony Abeid carried 16 times for 134 yards and a touchdown and returned two interceptions for touchdowns to lead YCS (6-1), which inched closer to the first playoff berth in school history.
Drevon Green added 18 carries for 64 yards and Darien Townsend caught Emmit Underwood’s only completion for 26 yards for the Eagles, who entered the game third in the Division VI, Region 21 computer ratings. Nick Rios added a safety when he tackled Imani QB Khari Hicks in the end zone.
For Imani (4-1), a Division VI-level team in Pittsburgh, Brandon Simpson carried four times for 46 yards.
West Branch 21, Canton South 14
Canton
Brenden Wells carried 29 times for 213 yards to pass the 1,000-yard milestone for the season and scored two touchdowns to lead West Branch (3-4, 2-2 Northeastern Buckeye Conference).
Wells’ 97-yard TD early in the fourth quarter proved to be the game-winner. He’s rushed for more than 200 yards in three straight games and has 1,077 for the season.
Troy James added 60 yards rushing and a TD and completed 4 of 9 passes for 53 yards.
Alliance 35, Salem 12
ALLIANCE
Alliance quarterback Taurice Scott accounted for 472 all-purpose yards and four touchdown to lead Alliance (5-2, 3-1 Northeastern Buckeye Conference).
Scott rushed for 278 yards and three scores, including a 71-yarder to open the scoring and a 90-yarder to finish it. Austin Noel ran for 132 yards and a score for Salem (4-3, 2-2). Jake Carner also ran for a score and passed for 77 yards.
