Team Roster 2009
Coach: Brian Marrow
The good news is, YCS had its best season in school history last year, going 7-3 and winning a share of the league crown. And they return four starters on offense and defense - 10 lettermen overall - including all-conference QB John Pecchia. The bad news is, graduation took its toll, with Marqueal Smith (the school's first 1,000 yard rusher) and Pat Durkin (an All-Ohio WR), among others, leaving big holes to fill. Look for three-year letterman Caleb Yanno to step up his production at running back, while two-year letterwinner Victor Shaw serves as a threat in the passing game. Doug Chamita, a two-year letterman at center, anchors the line. Defensively, there are a lot of young players who need to grow up quickly. Senior CB Brian Richey, a first-team all-conference selection, will be one of the leaders on that unit.
