Team Roster 2011
Coach: Mike Pavlansky
COACHING STAFF: Mike Pavlansky, head coach (11th season, 81-32; 109-54 overall). Assistants: Brian Fedyski, Gary Hoelzel, Mike Strohecker, Dom Prologo Jr., Greg Kerr, Nate Boyd, Jordan Graham.
PLAYOFF HISTORY: 8 years, 9-8. Last appearance, 2009
OUTLOOK: Cardinals seek a return to the postseason after an uncharateristic .500 season. They’ll count on the leadership of ball-handlers like QB Jordan Italiano, TE Jimmy Rousher and WRs Joe Tuchek and Mike Ross to lead the way. Still to emerge is a dominant RB. Italiano will also anchor the defense from his safety position.
SCRIMMAGES
Aug. 12: At Louisville, 10 a.m.
Aug. 19: Lakeview, 7 p.m.
Quote from the Coach
“We’re blessed with a good group of returning players and newcomers. We’re going to work hard to put a team on the field every Friday night this season that our fans can be proud of. Our schedule includes our always tough conference games plus several playoff-proven non-conference foes and we’re excited to go out and compete with all of them.”
