Re-read the article after giving it time to see if I felt differently about my previous post.
I do not. In part, here is why-
"Not funding local journalism is as dangerous to a community as not having an adequate water supply. I wonder what bigger earthquakes we would have faced in 2012 had we not stuck to our mission."
Tragic to leave writing an article midway through only to return to finish in a different mindset, yes?
1]. The out of town agency should place an office in Youngstown, especially if they are partners with Youngstown, after all, if you run for political office you must live in the city/ward, yes?
2]. If the folks do not pay their fine(s) then take the car/vehicle they were cited in, if possible, and auction it off.
3]. I can solve any problem and do it without sitting on a bar stool.
If an individual doesn't care enough about themselves to improve themselves, among other things, with skills and experience, then why would that 'non-caring' individual expect more than what they are worth?
Problem here is the companies caving in to the entitlement mentality of the non-skilled worker and paying the non skilled worker 'blackmail raises' just so the company doesn't have to repair equipment every time the babies cry.
Please choose a point, a thesis statement, an issue, and stick with it.
I had to keep guessing if this was a pomp and circumstance for journalism or an apples to apples of community water and the decisions and people behind all of that.
And how many years have you been writing? This was a rushed article, it had to be. You have written better before, yes? Certainly if everyone deserves better water and government and journalism, whatever this article is about,- certainly we deserve well written, etc., articles, yes?
Read and look to Bertram and Skolnick for examples.
Sherrod Brown and Mike DeWine are political bad-asses. Remember the (2011 ?) on air WKBN radio debate they had? It was brutal and even Ron Verb was astounded.
Josh Mandel is"...no John Kennedy..." and is nearing his political limt. There is just too many still speaking aginst him AT THE POLITICAL LEVEL he currently presides.
Mandel winning a higher office? Maybe. But he simply can't go much farther.
Like Edward J. DeBartolo's comments about a Jim Trafficant presidency, "It's a problem at a higher office."
Two in Oakhill case critical of prosecutor statements made to media
All these years and the government cannot get to the one family whose name continually gets mentioned, and well, sometimes (ahem) not mentioned...
By the way, I shop Southern Park Mall. Just sayin'.

Warren PD participates in crisis-intervention training
Thank you Warren for being involved with further training in this field as seemingly this type of call will only become more common.
I hope the documentation you have in this venue will be expanded and shared via training to other law enforcement agencies within our region.
I see Warren as having an open police force that admits its mistakes, learns, and moves on.
Please, keep up the great work Warren Police Officers and managers.

Gains fails as a leader
Bertram has given more than enough information in this article to damn Gains.
Just the facts regarding Gains reaction to his employee using official letterhead had me convinced that Gains has toys in the attic.
A question I now have is why haven't the Republican Party been all over election ballots with strategic opponents?
Oh, never mind. Just shut the lights off, will ya'?
