New Canfield library boasts triple the space

This is excellent that our libraries for our citizens are here for us and hopefully our youth will take advantage of our libraries.

For instance, the Austintown library has turned into a waiting for mommy and daddy to pick me up center. And I hope the buildings condition will be just as solid when the library shuts down and the building becomes a pastry shop.

I very much enjoy seeing speakers at the library very much. Thank you for reading my verbose comments. I am finished. You can click off onto something else. Thank you.

Perhaps Struthers Police Department could get further training via the Canfield Ohio Police Department?

And Struthers P.D., don't even think about getting training from the Ohio State Patrol. Your not even competent to say those lawful words aloud.

Struthers police cannot do their job and I wonder why that is? Even Youngstown police laugh at the Struthers police force.

Youngstown inks deal with agency to collect delinquent speed-violation fees

Much needed and long overdue.

The problem I see is that the late fees of around $60.00 are too low. The late fees should be double what the fines are.

Perhaps then speeders will think twice about paying their 'bills' late.

Herman Hartman, a State Highway Patrolman in Columbus Ohio from Youngstown Ohio, shot and killed his wife and kidnapped his children a decade or so ago.

Yeah, Highway Patrol. It's like that.

Costs cause Masonic Temple to close

I had just seen this reported on the 11:00 news.

This news is an absolute disgrace. With so many Masonic lodges in the tri-county area, one must ask why couldn't the individual smaller lodges sell their buildings and meet in this Wick Temple? Why haven't the Freemasons joined, united together to save their own headquartered and historic structure?

Egos. What else could have prevented individuals from placing differences aside to save this historic building?

Shame on all of the Freemasons whom have allowed this tragedy to occur. Shame on you Masonic leaders. This is an absolute and complete disgrace. Our community certainly deserves better.

Expect a bustling Youngstown March 22 when Elton, ZZ Top perform

Elton is ALWAYS a great concert! My wife and I very much enjoy parking at the Covelli Center and taking a taxi to a nearby restaurant for an excellent and stress free dining experience and again taking a taxi to return to the Covelli Center for Elton Johns' concerts.

Thank you all involved with bringing Elton John back again!
