Coach: Brian Shaner
After going 22-8 over the past three years at East and Rayen, Shaner saw his team take a step back last fall, finishing 4-6. But he likes what he sees from this years team, which has three returning starters on offense and six on defense. Key players include WR/RB Trumaine Jenkins, RB Mike Thomas, RB/LB Lilton Morris, safety Stephen Johnson and OL/LB Kendal Peterson, an all-district player who is the teams leader. East has good team speed (no surprise), but also is undersized (again, no surprise) and must navigate a difficult schedule that includes eight away games.
