Team Roster 2010
Coach: Mike Kopachy
The Salem Quakers will return five offensive linemen from last year’s 9-3 team to protect senior quarterback Trent Toothman and open up holes for running backs Eric Bailey and Austin Noel. Head coach Mike Kopachy hopes his second year at the helm is just as successful as the first. And the returning lettermen on offense will be a big factor. But losing left tackle Matt Taylor to graduation will hurt. The biggest question mark for Toothman and the offense will be who is on the other side of the passes. The Quakers graduated four wide receivers, and the overall experience is limited. Maybe the biggest blow to the receiving corps was the loss of All-State wideout Ben Eisel. While the new group is talented, Kopachy said, it’s very young and inexperienced.
