Poland has reason to be cautiously optimistic. Although the lost standouts like lineman Bill Dugan (YSU) and Tyler Vallinger to graduation — and Vallinger's younger brother Trent opted not to play this year — they return two-year letterwinners Greg Sabol and Ross Lopez in the backfield and senior QB Gannon Hulea, who was terrific last season. The Bulldogs have only 13 returning lettermen, but they have good numbers and a strong program, so, if things go well, the playoffs should be in reach.
