McElroy's first season at Lisbon was a rough one as the Blue Devils lost their first nine games by at least 20 points. But an extremely young 2008 team is now an experienced 2009 squad, as Lisbon returns eight starters on each side of the ball and 27 lettermen overall. Two-year letterman Robert Wilcox returns at RB, as does two-year letterman Matt Metzgar at QB. Five lettermen are back on the offensive line and five return at wideout and tight end. Defensively, there will be experience at just about every position. Lisbon should be much more competitive this fall, which is a step in the right direction.
