Canfield has made the playoffs the past four years and five of the last six and it should be in the mix again this year. After splitting time with athletic QB Mark Carrocce last season, senior Adam Muth will step in full time, while RB Christian Smith, bruising FB Dan Banna and RB Kyle Vaclav will look for holes behind an inexperienced offensive line. The defense should be solid, although losing All-Ohioan Jordan Graham to graduation is a big loss. The Cardinals have good numbers and Pavlansky always manages to find players, so Canfield should be able to put some heat on league-favorite Howland.
