The lesson to be learned is that much of the Valley laughed at this attempt for a town hall for Tim Ryan. Give me a break, you had to register and I am sure somewhere along the line they checked your name out.
What Tim Ryan really needs to do is book a date at Fitch High School and answer the questions from dozens of people, instead of in a 'closed-door' meeting where everyone was screened before they got tickets.
Come on Vindicator, I give you kudos for trying, but the whole registering for tickets gave the wrong impression.
People are oblivious to facts. In 2001, Traficant was the enemy of the Democrats, not the Republicans. Traficant backed the Bush Tax Cuts, spoke out against Al Gore, and all but endorsed George W. Bush on the CNN show Crossfire. He was good friends with the next Senator of Ohio Rob Portman.
In the end, it was the Democrats that Traficant attacked in his final speech before Congress. He went off on them and PRAISED the Republicans.
People that look at the D next to his name do not realize he was more conservative than most Republicans!

Public should be livid about YSU giveaways
Your hatred of Youngstown State is sickening.
YSU is one of the few BRIGHT spots in the Mahoning Valley, in addition to Humility of Mary Health Partners.
I am no fan of unions, but I am sick and tired of the Vindicator using their bully pulpit to rip on YSU each and every month.
