Why Wolford recruited outside Ohio

Robert, you are incorrect. We offered 11 local kids this year, with just 2 committing. Two years ago, a whole bunch of area recruits committed.

Tressel won with local and Florida recruits, and so will Wolford. Don't hate the guy cause you disagree with his recruiting. He was the top recruiter in America at South Carolina for a REASON!

Don’t blame quakes on fracking

HAPPY BOB, DID YOU NOT READ HIS ARTICLE?

He said FRACKING is NOT CAUSING the quakes. He did not say that INJECTION WELLS were not causing the quakes.

I am amazed at how people read what they want to read to prove their point!

Should the Ohio Turnpike be run by a private corporation?

Just about the only thing I disagree 100% with Governor Kasich on. We are lucky to have such an asset in our turnpike. I believe we should keep it run by the state.

Continue to work hard to create jobs and the tax situation for our state will figure itself out.

YSU lands talented Florida WR with checkered past

Kid screwed up royally his junior year, but article after article and coach after coach has said this kid has changed his life for the better his senior year. A lot of positive things have been stated in the past few months about this kid.

I am all about second chances and this kid deserves a second chance. Remember something folks, Marcus Mason stole a few LCD TV's before coming to YSU and becoming a star and eventually playing in the NFL.

If this kid stays out of trouble, he will be a star and could be an NFL talent per some commentators.

Report: YSU defensive coordinator Kravitz will not return

Defense was going to much stronger this year, but we need a new scheme in my eyes. I thought a 3-4 scheme with our depth at LB would have made a ton of sense!

Can't wait to see the replacement!

All eyes on YSU

Nice article, although you put the wrong record for YSU. We are 11-8, not 9-10, that is our women's team record.

If the election were held today, would Barack Obama or Mitt Romney get your vote for president?

Why would anyone in their right mind vote for four more years of Barack Obama. The guy has been awful in just about every facet of his Presidency except in foreign policy, where he is more conservative than Ron Paul!

Name change for Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport?

To the naysayers that call the airport, the "Black Hole", please take a look at these photos and tell me again that this airport is a black hole:

Name change for Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport?

As the article states, the airport recently issued a bond that contains funding for new signage, etc. at the airport. A large portion of the bond will be payed by PFC charges which all commercial airports receive off of passenger tickets.

Anyhow, I support the name Northeast Ohio Regional Airport. It broadens our target market to reach out towards Ashtabula and westward to the eastern portion of Cleveland and Akron. A large portion of our passenger base comes from OUTSIDE of Youngstown and Warren. It is a smart marketing move to show we are an airport that supports the entire Northeastern Ohio passenger base.

Just look at Southwest Florida International Airport. Instead of it being called Fort Myers International, they chose Southwest Florida to include Punta Gorda, Fort Myers, Bonita Springs, Naples, and down south to Marco Island.

Re-branding when the airport has had its best year since 1999 is a smart move.
