Boardman board weighs school name changes

I very much agree.

Education is everything as the communities branches sprout from that tree. Boardman schools are dangerously close to disaster.

There is hope. Slow corrections and movements in the needed direction will show results, especially if elected officials know their responsibilities and keep their ego out of affairs.

Trump channels Jimbo

Trump channels Jimbo, but is the Youngstown Playhouse channeling Bernie Maddoff?

CHECK THIS OUT! Is Youngstown Playhouse money being mismanaged and withholding COMMUNITY auditions???

Youngstown Playhouse response from (http://www.vindy.com/news/2016/mar/10/r…) Friday March 11 2016-

"Auditions were not announced or held, nor did we ever market this production as anything other than a fundraiser for the theatre.

B. Appugliese
Operations Manager
The Youngstown Playhouse"

According to www.citizenaudit.org, in 2015/07 the Youngstown Playhouse had max assets of: $1,224,646; a sharp rise from max assets of $338,176 reported in 2006/08 and 2014 reported income of: $169,998.

Shamelessly holding COMMUNITY theatre productions without the opportunity for the COMMUNITY to participate in auditions for a COMMUNITY theatre as well as seemingly raking in the cash from a COMMUNITY that works hard for their families and money, but I had made an inquiry into the money from our COMMUNITY theatre, I am ignored from kong888 whom apparently is a Youngstown Playhouse spokesperson and my questions were also ignored from Youngstown Playhouse operations manager B. Appugliese... WHY?

I just don't believe her. Anything she says sounds like a terrible Youngstown Playhouse theater production. Would kong888 agree?

Trump rally canceled for security reasons

@ kong888:

What about patron security at the Youngstown Playhouse? The Youngstown Playhouse rests in the center of gang activity seemingly. Here is a simple report, but what is the public NOT being told? What if the Youngstown Playhouse was having a show and the parking lot had cars in the Youngstown Playhouse parking lot?

Youngstown hyrdrants tampered with overnight on South Side.

YOUNGSTOWN — Fire reports said several fire hydrants were tampered with overnight on the South Side.

Crews were called to 600 Playhouse Lane about 1:20 a.m. today for a report of an open hydrant and when they arrived they discovered someone had taken the cap off the hydrant.

Reports said other open hydrants were then discovered at Willis and Overland avenues, Hillman and Kenmore avenues, Myrtle and Edwards avenues and Glenwood and Chalmers avenues.

The police department was notified as well as the water department, reports said.

Mercy’s Nose Knows

Are there drugs in the Youngstown Playhouse where they also have a children's theater department?

Is the Youngstown Playhouse paying its legal share of taxes?

I posed a form of this question to Youngstown Playhouse blogger 'kong888' and that Youngstown Playhouse blogger would not answer the question.

Here is the link to the story and banter back and forth, if not removed by vindy staff:

Future questions that must be asked is how safe are the paying patrons at the Youngstown Playhouse since the Youngstown Playhouse apparently/seemingly rests in the heart of gang territory?

A website is being created/developed to ask the Youngstown Playhouse about the taxes it pays and the safety of its property. Other theaters will be included as blogger kong888 has requested.

Stay tuned. Hopefully answers will be given.
