The watch, expected to reach 15,000- 20,000 pounds, euro19, 000-25,000, US$30,000- 39,000 was recovered from the body of Carl Asplund who drowned on the Titanic and is part of the Lillian Asplund collection, the last American survivor of the disaster, which go on auction on April 19. Asplund was 5 in April 1912, when the Titanic hit an iceberg and sank on its maiden voyage from England to New York. Her father and three siblings were among 1,500 people who died.
