SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Kiwanis Club of Youngstown welcomed Judge Robert N. Rusu Jr., Mahoning County Probate Court, who was the speaker at the club’s Sept. 19 meeting at the downtown YMCA. Rusu has been a probate/elder law attorney for more than 20 years and was co-owner and partner of Lane & Rusu Co. L.P.A. in Canfield. He is a graduate of Youngstown State University and earned his law degree from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 1993. He was admitted to the bar on Nov. 8, 1993. SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Sleepy Hollow Sleep Shop on Salt Springs Road, Youngstown, and its owners, the Berry family, recently donated 32 twin mattresses and box springs to the Beatitude House. The donation will support the transitional housing apartments for women and children in Mahoning, Trumbull and Ashtabula counties. SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR Austintown Junior Women’s League recently attended the North East District Fall Conference of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs at the Magnuson Grand Hotel in Warren. A collection was made for Canines Companion for Independence, which helps provide a canine companion to a wounded veteran.
