Deanna Hosey, right, owner of Something Unique For You, an Austintown flower shop, introduced the Rotary Club of Austintown to The Cash Mob Youngstown Movement recently. Cash Mob is a grassroots movement to support local businesses. Members will vote to visit one small business per month, show up on a special day and each will spend $20 at that store. The business must have products that have a wide appeal to men and women, it must be locally owned and operated within a brick and mortar retail location. Hosey, also a member of Austintown Junior women’s League, talked of forming a community calendar to be posted on the township website, perhaps drawing more support for the programs. At left is Austintown Rotary President Deanna Spirko.
