The Boardman Lions recently donated three 26-inch Huffy Cruiser bicycles and three helmets to the Beatitude House, 287 Lora Ave., Youngstown. The bikes are kept on site and assigned to children there to ride in the neighborhood. The Beatitude House also teaches the new owners about bicycle safety. Pictured left to right are: Anna Grzebieniak, child advocate; Sister Mary Alice Koval, education director; Terry Shears, Boardman Lions president; and Lee Ward, Boardman Lions member. The donation is the latest by the Lions, who have also contributed to the Boardman Township Fire Dept., the Linus Project, Coats for Kids, Fourth-Grade Foresters’ Arbor Day Project, landscaping of the “Welcome to Boardman” signs on Route 224 and Market Street, and vision testing and medical visits for those in need who qualify.
