Ursuline 24, Bishop Watterson 21

Youngstown

Ursuline avoided a winless season thanks to a 4-yard touchdown run by Davion Jones with 34 seconds remaing.

Jones carried the ball 29 times for 112 yards and two touchdowns.

Brady Shannon completed 9 of 13 passes for 169 yards. He ran for a 2-yard touchdown in the first quarter for the Irish (1-6).

Jacob Hoying threw for 232 yards and two touchdowns on 21 of 32 passing for Bishop Watterson (2-5).

Louisville 31, Cardinal Mooney 21

YOUNGSTOWN

David Burick caught three touchdown passes to lead the Leopards. Colton Jones passed for 292 yards.

The Cardinals (3-4) ran for 223 yards. John Murphy had 85 of them and he also three three touchdown passes to Anthony Fire (14 yards), Michael Santisi (1) and Michael Scavina (14).

Hubbard 60, Jefferson 0

JEFFERSON

Jayquan Odem caught a touchdown pass and returned a punt for a touchdown to keep Hubbard (7-0) unbeaten. Rafael Morales led Hubbard in rushing with 113 yards and two touchdowns.

The Eagles defense also scored twice with fumble return touchdowns by Lukas Masora and Jermia Harris. Davion Daniels passed for 122 yards and had two touchdown passes.

Howland 24, Perry Traditional 6

HOWLAND

The Tigers ran for 175 yards and three touchdowns in their first win of the season.

Keyshawn Busch led Howland (1-6) with 110 yards on eight carries. Eric Babinchak, George Mendenhall and Cartier Yancy scored for the Tigers.

Bryan Noel caught a 17-yard touchdown pass from Jakar Tucker in the fourth quarter to break up the shutout.

Girard 43, Brookfield 7

Mark Waid massed 307 yards of offense and scored five touchdowns for Girard (6-1).

Waid ran for 76 yards three TDs and completed 11 of 24 passes for 231 yards and two scores, including an 84-yard score to Nick Malito.

Connor Filipovich ran for an 8-yard score to break up the shutout. Haden Gibson completed 9 of 17 passes for 100 yards for the Warriors (1-6).

LaBrae 62, Newton Falls 7

NEWTON FALLS

Colton Stoneman scored touchdowns on runs covering 1, 3 and 33 yards for the Vikings (7-0, 4-0 AAC Blue). Six other Vikings scored: Devin Carter, 28-yard run; Kent Wolford, 6 run; Tyler Stephens, 21-yard pass from Wolford; Walt Allie, 9-yard run; Benton Tennant, 65-yard run; and Shaun Miller, 16-yard run.

Tennant passed for 116 yards and Tennant rushed for the same amount.

For the Tigers (4-3, 0-2), Devin Falbola scored on a 3-yard run and Ivan Howard passed for 64 yards.

Liberty 45, Champion 7

CHAMPION

Liberty (5-2) ran for 472 yards as a team, led by Migel Burgess who had 288 yards and three touchdowns.

Jalen McKinney added 93 yards and a touchdown as the Leopards pulled away after leading just 12-7 at halftime. Hamad Alhmeed, Donte Venters, and Antwan Brown also had rushing touchdowns for Liberty. Champion (1-6) scored on a touchdown pass from Nick Stahlman to Brandon Dykes to end the first half.

Lakeview 37, Edgewood 8

CORTLAND

Dakota Whitt return an interception and fumble for touchdowns and also ran for a score as the Bulldogs (3-4, 2-2 All-American Conference White Tier) beat the Warriors (3-4, 0-2).

Whitt returned an interception 66 yards for the first score of the game, then ran 25 yards for a TD and returned a fumble 43 yards for a TD in a span of 16 seconds late in the second quarter.

Tony Crish added a 5-yard TD run for and Brandon Kilpatrick kicked field goals of 31, 41 and 33 yards for Lakeview.

Alex Caton ran for yards for Edgewood’s only TD and threw a two-point conversion pass to Izaiah Harris.

Whitt ran for 194 yards on 16 carries and Crish added 67 yards on 10 attempts.

Garfield Heights 29, South Range 9

BEAVER TOWNSHIP

Isaiah Jackson ran for 147 yards, including a 60 yard first-quarter touchdown to lead Garfield Heights (7-0). Heights quarterback Marlon Jordan found Jabion Binns for a 45 yard touchdown pass in the third quarter. South Range (4-3) was led by Trent Harrold with 86 yards rushing. Michael Patrone found the end zone in the fourth quarter for the Raiders, and Trey Pancake kicked a first-quarter field goal.

West Branch 21, Canton South 0

BELOIT

Jesse Rastetter rushed for 49 yards and three touchdowns. Thomas Caserta added 73 yards on the ground. Canton South was held to 142 yards and five first downs.

McDonald 48, Mineral Ridge 0

MCDONALD

McDonald (7-0, 4-0 Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference) got out to an early 35-0 lead and never looked back. Alex Cintron had first-quarter touchdown runs of 80 and 51 yards. Cintron totaled 168 yards on just five carries. Cintron also had a 91 yard punt return touchdown. Josh Celli added three touchdown runs of his own. Celli finished with 81 yards rushing and 28 passing. Randall Miller led Mineral Ridge (1-6, 1-3) with 50 yards rushing.

Lowellville 41, Sebring 0

SEBRING

Joe Ballone scored three touchdowns and rushed for 116 yards to lead the Rockets (3-4, 2-2 MVAC). Ballone scored on a 67 yard run, returned a punt 50 yards for another score and caught a 10-yard pass in the end zone from Cole Bunofsky.

D,J, Chomzyck scored on a 86-yard run, Michael Donatelli on a 65-yard run and Jake Rotz hit Micah Mamula Zarlingo for an 8-yard touchdown.

Matt Hvisdak rushed for 97 yards.

No statistics for Sebring were submitted.

Crestview 36, Magnolia 21

EAST FAIRFIELD

Dylan Huff rushed for 264 yards and scored four touchdowns for the Rebels (4-2). His scoring runs covered 60, 5, 12 and 26 yards.

Andrew Yanssens scored Crestview’s other touchdown on a 25-yard run. For Magnolia (4-3), Jason Beisel scored two touchdowns.

Toronto 19, Lisbon 0

LISBON

Nate Karaffa had two passing touchdowns and a rushing touchdown to lead Toronto (3-4). Zach Stackhouse had 128 receiving yards and a touchdown for Toronto. Logan Bell led Lisbon (3-4) with 94 total yards.

East Palestine 43, Leetonia 0

EAST PALESTINE

Parker Sherry passed for 100 yards and three touchdowns for East Palestine (3-4). Dominic Posey caught 76 of those yards and two TDs. Sherry also rushed for 86 yards and a score. Marco Ferry rushed for 86 yards for Leetonia (3-4).

Jackson-Milton 20, Waterloo 0

ATWATER

The Blue Jays improved to 2-5, 2-2 MVAC. The Vikings dropped to 1-6, 1-4.

Details of the game were not reported.

Southington 41, Pymatuning Valley 7

Andover

Logan Regal and Jacob Baker carried Southington to its second straight win.

Southington (5-2) only threw for 1 yard, but Regal ran for 225 yards and three scores on 18 carries while Baker carried the ball 19 times for 111 yards.

Logan Drnek connected with Tyler Bean for a 7-yard touchdown in the fourth for the Lakers (1-6).
