Ursuline 28, Warren Harding 24

WARREN

Warren Harding (0-4) outgained Ursuline (2-3) 364-226 but somehow came up short in the end. Jared Fabry had a passing touchdown and a rushing touchdown for the Irish, and Joe Floyd added a touchdown on the ground. The difference in the game was an Ursuline blocked punt that the Irish recovered for a touchdown in the third quarter. For Harding, Kayron Adams ran for 186 yards and a touchdown.

Jackson-Milton 53, Sebring 8

Sebring

Jackson-Milton (2-3) was led by Taylor Kleinknecht on special teams. Kleinknecht scored ran three punt returns back for touchdowns in the first quarter. He tied the state record for punt returns in a game. Blue Jays’ Ryan Staton run for 45 yards and scored two touchdowns, one on the ground and the other on a catch. Zane Peterson scored on a 28-yard run for Sebring (0-5).

Austintown Fitch 38, East 7

AUSTINTOWN

Quarterback Joey Zielinski scored on runs covering 9 and 32 yards for the Falcons (3-2).

Also scoring for Fitch were Jakari Lumsden (16 yards) Emanuel Dawkins (2) and Randy Smith (1). Dylan Correia kicked a 26-yard field goal.

Zielinski ran nine times for 96 yards. Smith had 70 yards on 12 carries.

For the Panthers (1-4), Ilijah Donley caught a 67-yard touchdown pass from Isaiah McBride.

Poland 63, Edgewood 0

POLAND

Poland (5-0) running back Jake Rutana ran for 126 yards and a touchdown as the Bulldogs routed Edgewood (1-4). Richard Bailey added two touchdowns for the Bulldogs and Cole Kosco passed for two touchdowns for the Bulldogs.

Lakeview 41, Niles 16

CORTLAND

Tony Crish scored three touchdowns to lead the Bulldogs (4-1). His scores covered 8, 3 and 9 yards. He finished with 89 yards on 16 carries.

Zach Rogers hit Evan Adair for a 32-yard touchdown toss and Clay Lazzari connected with Joel Lindow for a 20-yard score. Rogers alos scored on a 1-yard run. He completed 7-of-11 passes for 179 yards.

For the Red Dragons (0-5), Robbie Savin and Brandon Golias scored the touchdowns while Jordan Soda passed for 149 yards.

Girard 51, Jefferson 0

JEFFERSON

Girard (5-0) quarterback Mark Waid finished a perfect 13 for 13 passing for 284 yards and three touchdowns. On the ground Waid was also the Indians leading rusher, running for 104 yards and two scores. Mike Belcik was on the receving end of two Waid touchdown passes. He totaled 144 yards receiving. The Girard defense also came up back, recording two safeties.

LaBrae 33, Champion 7

Champion

LaBrae (3-2)ran for 172 yards and 3 touchdowns against Champion (0-5). Kent Wolford ran for 68 yards and a touchdown. His teammate Colton Stoneman ran for 85 yards and a score. Champion’s Nathan Russell caught a 30-yard pass from Nick Stahlman for the team’s only score.

Liberty 40, Campbell 7

LIBERTY

The Leopards (3-2, 2-0 AAC Blue) blocked two punts for touchdowns, with Brian Maddox and Tobias Brantley recovering in the end zone.

Dra Rushton ran for two touchdowns (8 and 52 yards) and returned a punt 47 yards for another. He rushed 12 times for 142 yards.

Deviel Jones scored on a 1-yard run for the Red Devils (1-4, 0-2).

Waterloo 21, Lowellville 7

ATWATER

The Waterloo duo of Dakota Miller (166) and Logan Robinson (125) both rushed for over 100 yards.

Miller found the end zone twice and Robinson had one touchdown. For Lowellville (2-3), Achili Minch had a rushing touchdown and nine tackles on defense for Waterloo (2-3).

Lisbon 31, Southern 20

SALINEVILLE

Logan Bell connected with Seth Stokes for three touchdown passes as the Blue Devils (4-1, 2-0 Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference) rallied from a 14-0 first-quarter deficit.

Stokes’ scoring receptions covered 23, 41 and 33 yards. Bell passed for 124 yards and Stokes had four catches for 110 yards.

Cameron Summers scored from the 1 and Justin Sweeney from the 2. Summers had 17 carries for 113 yards.

For the Indians (2-3, 0-2), Cam Grohaus and Wil Grohaus scored touchdowns. The latter rushed for 171 yards on 22 carries.

Columbiana 34, United 14

COLUMBIANA

The Columbiana (3-2) rushing attack was firing on all cylinders, totalingg 346 yards. Jakob Cross ran for 124 yards and a touchdown and Chase Franken ran for 107 yards. Cross passed for 112 yards and found Franken twice for touchdown passes. Ethan Antram rushed for 126 yards and two touchdowns for United (2-3).

Rootstown 48, Mathews 14

VIENNA

Caleb Kaut rushed for 149 yards and scored twice for Rootstown (5-0, 1-0 Portage Trail Conference).

Scott Seger passed for 231 yards. His touchdown passes were to Nathan Moore (66 and 21 yards) and Logan Carpenter (38).

Grand Valley 63, Southington 13

SOUTHINGTON

Eduardo Hernadez rushed for 136 yards and scored three touchdowns.

West Branch 31, Minerva 7

BELOIT

The Warriors rolled over the behind quarterback T.J. DeShields’ rushing touchdowns of 7 and 9 yards and his team-high 92 yards on the ground.

DeShields also passed for 239 yards.

Cole Pittman ran for 87 yards and a 3-yard touchdown for West Branch (2-3, 0-5 Northeastern Buckeye Conference.

Canton South 47, Salem 27

SALEM

The Wildcats (5-0, 2-0 NBC) won a battle of unbeatens on the road. The Quakers fell to 4-1, 1-1.
