The unbeaten Spartans took a 19-0 first-half lead, eventually lost the lead in the fourth quarter, regained it, lost it again and finally regained it again for keeps to win a thriller on the road against the Polar Bears. QB Mike O'Horo ran for three touchdowns, including an 80-yarder in the first half, and Boardman (3-0) rolled up 324 yards on the ground. O'Horo, Domonhic Jennings and Joe Ieraci all ran for fourth-quarter touchdowns in a wild final 12 minutes. Tommy Fryda made a 23-yard field goal and four extra points for the Spartans. Bordman's other points came on a safety when a Jackson player was tackled in the end zone. Polar Bears QB Jake Pallotta was 20 of 32 for 387 yards and three TDs.
South Range 42, Akron Manchester 36
BEAVER TOWNSHIP
Aniello Buzzacco rushed for 117 yards and passed for 215 to lead the Raiders (3-0) to a come-from-way-behind victory.
The Panthers (1-2) led 24-7 in the second quarter.
Buzzacco scored three touchdowns on runs covering 1, 26 and 51 yards. He also hit Mathias Combs for a 59-yard score.
Peyton Remish gained 104 yards on 27 carries. He scored on runs of 13 and 11 yards. The latter came with 3:28 remaining to put the Raiders ahead 40-36. Buzzacco scored on the conversion run.
Combs caught five passes for 134 yards.
For the Panthers, Ethan Wright gained 137 yards on 23 carries and scored three touchdowns. Robert Wagner passed for 163 yards and threw three touchdown passes.

ASHTABULA TOWNSHIP
Tyreq Moorer scored four touchdowns (three from 24 yards out) for the Eagles (2-1, 1-0 All-American Conference White Tier). His other score was from the 6 yard line. Moorer rushed 15 times for 135 yards.
Davion Daniels passed for 79 yards and hit Jamie Thompson with a 16-yard scoring toss. He also scored on a 24-yard run.
Edgewood is 0-3.
Lakeview 34, LaBrae 6
LEAVITTSBURG
Lakeview (2-1) struck early thanks to the play of its quarterback. Zach Rogers completed 4 of 8 passes for 181 yards and four touchdowns. Rogers completed his four passes to four different receivers.
Lakeview’s Noah Olejnik caught the longest pass of the night for 72 yards. Evan Adair also caught a 62-yard pass in the second quarter.
For LaBrae (1-2), Colton Stoneman and Timmon Cayson both ran for over 60 yards. Stoneman ran the ball 18 times for 67 yards and Cayson had four carries for 64 yards and the team’s only touchdown.
Lakeside 33, East 19
ASHTABULA
Thomas Steele passed for 147 yards, rushed for 44 and scored a touchdown while throwing two picks for East (0-3). Ilijah Donley had 85 receiving yards for the Golden Bears.
Mineral Ridge 16, Newton Falls 15 OT
MINERAL RIDGE
Decosta Baptiste ran for 122 yards and scored the winning two-point conversion in overtime for Mineral Ridge (2-1).
Michael McLean also broke 100 yards rushing for the Rams, totaling 132 yards, including a 97-yard touchdown run.
Bill Wright led Newton Falls (2-1) with 85 yards rushing.
Liberty 48, Pymatuning Valley 6
YOUNGSTOWN
Liberty (1-2) ran for 407 yards, led by Dra Rushton with 140 yards. Rushton had two touchdowns on the ground along with a punt return touchdown and two passing touchdowns.
Capone Haywood caught a touchdown pass and had an interception for the Leopards.
Cuyahoga Heights 29, Brookfield 6
CUYAHOGA HEIGHTS
Luke D’Orazio scored two touchdowns for the Redskins.
For the Warriors (1-2), Noah Hartnett scored on a 4-yard run. Alex Clark rushed 15 times for 124 yards.
Western Reserve 43, Steubenville CC 33
Berlin Center
Western Reserve’s Jack Cappabianca and Adam Gatrell combined for 342 yards rushing and six touchdowns. Both ran for three touchdowns each.
Cappabianca led the Blue Devils with 203 yards on 21 carries and Gatrell was second with 139 on 14 attempts.
Cappabianca also led the Blue Devils on defense. He recorded a game-high 12.5 tackles, including thee tackles for loss.
For Steubenville Central Catholic, Justin Hartzell led the team in passing and rushing yards. Hartzell combined for 286 yards and three touchdowns, two passing and one rushing.
Lowellville 12, Wellsville 6

Jake Rotz scored threw two touchdown passes and threw for 143 yards for the Rockets (2-1). Matt Hvisdak (20 yards) and Micah Mamula Zarlingo (22) caught the scoring tosses.
Joe Ballone gained 76 yards on four carries.
For the Tigers (1-2), Derrick Suggs scored on a 12-yard run.
West Branch 43, Southeast 14
PALMYRA
TJ DeShields passed for 189 yards and found Kyle Linhart for two touchdown passes to lead West Branch (1-2) to its first victory of the season.
DeShields also rushed for three touchdowns. Thomas Coserta added 146 yards and a touchdown for the Warriors.
Defensively, Joe Love had an inteception for West Branch, and Jake Lyons and Hunter Sayer-Makeen each had a fumble recovery.
Southington 17, Leetonia 14
SOUTHINGTON
Ryan Johnston kicked a 20-yard field goal late in the fourth quarter to lead Southington (2-1) past Leetonia (0-3).
Chase Iser led the Wildcats ground attack with 93 yards. Joey Meyers added 73 yards receiving and Trystan Mollohan passed for 94 yards.
Stats for Leetonia were not provided.
Crestview 48, Akron North 8
EAST FAIRFIELD
Crestview (2-1) racked up 319 yards on the ground, led by Ethan Powell.
Powell had 101 yards. Andrew Yanssens added 74 yards and a touchdown for the Rebels ground attack, while Danny Moore and Devin Turvey also added rushing touchdowns.
Javon Banks led North with 73 rushing yards.
United 12, Malvern 6
HANOVERTON
The Eagles (2-1) scored first on a 75-yard kickoff return by Parker Hydrick but the extra point was missed.
Malvern tied at 6-6 the game with a 2-yard run y Drew Hutchison in the second quarter. Malvern attepmted a two-point conversion and failed.
United’s Cade Wood scored the game-winning touchdown in the second quarter. Wood ran for a 50-yard touchdown.
For United, Wood carried the ball 11 times for 111 yards. The Eagles’ Ethan Antram ran for 48 yards on 9 carries.
Windham 34, Jackson-Milton 14
Jackson Township
Windham (3-0) combined for a total of 448 yards, including 336 rushing.
Phillip Maiorca ran for a game-high 130 yards on 24 carries.
Mason Angle ran for 118 yards on 16 attempts.
Sebastian Lay and Blue Jays receivers provided the only offense for the team. Lay threw for 119 yards on 14 completions and two touchdowns.
Jackson-Milton (1-2) was held to 6 yards rushing on nine attempts.
Ryan Staton was the leading rusher with 4 yards on three carries.
