Warren Harding (7-0) and South Range (6-1) hold the top spots in their regions in this week’s high school football computer playoff ratings. Despite an easy win, Warren JFK (7-0) dropped to second.

Warren Harding is the number one team in Division II Region 5. South Range is first in Div. V Region 17 and Warren JFK is second in Div. VII Region 25.

Harding, coming off a 46-15 victory over Boardman, will host Cardinal Mooney (4-2) on Friday. Mooney, which is ranked six in Div. IV Region 13, is coming off a 31-14 loss to Buffalo Canisius.

The Raiders are rolling again after last Friday’s victory over United. They’ll travel to Crestview on Friday.

Warren JFK fell out of the top spot even though the Eagles defeated Valley Christian, 47-7. In that game, the Eagles gave up just their second touchdown of the season, this one on a kick return.

Warren JFK will head to Cleveland to take on Cleveland Central Catholic on Friday. The Eagles trail Mogadore (6-1) in Region 25 but remain ahead of Jackson-Milton (5-2) which is sixth.

Struthers will travel to Hubbard on Friday in a key Div. IV Region 13 showdown between two 6-1 teams. Struthers is third in the region and Hubbard is fifth. The winner of this game should be in the driver’s seat for a first-round home game.

In Div. III Region 9, Howland is ranked fourth while Canfield is eighth. Both have 5-2 records. Last Friday, Canfield pulled off an improbable come-from-behind 23-21 win over Niles while Howland defeated Pittsburgh Perry Traditional Academy, 38-8.

Howland and Canfield will square off in Week 9. This week, Howland hosts Niles on Thursday while Canfield travels to East on Saturday.

Behind South Range in Region 17 are LaBrae at four and Liberty at six.

In Div. VI Region 21, Lisbon (five) and Columbiana (seven) face off this week in a game where the loser could be sitting at home Week 11.
