Akron SVSM 49, Cardinal Mooney 23

AKRON

St. Vincent-St. Mary quarterback Dom Davis torched the Cardinals (2-2) with four touchdown passes. The first one was an 82-yard reception by Malik Woolridge just 67 seconds into the game.

DeAmonte King caught two scoring tosses (23 and 21 yards) for the Irish (4-0).

Ray Anderson led Mooney’s rushing attack with 138 yards on 21 carries. Mike Williams caught two touchdown passes (22 and 32 yards) from Jack Lynch.

Canfield 23, Ash. Lakeside 13

CANFIELD

Kato Kim rushed 21 times for 132 yards and a touchdown to lead Canfield (3-1). C.J. Frost added 92 yards on 14 carries with a TD and Jared Clark had a 4-yard TD run. Ryan Teminsky made a 20-yard field goal as time expired in the first half.

For Lakeside (1-3), Jamar Bruner had a 65-yard TD run in the first quarter and Johnny Evans had a 47-yard punt return for a touchdown with 39 seconds left in the fourth.

Massillon Perry 13, Boardman 10

MASSILLON

Mason Brown made a 25-yard field goal with 25 seconds remaining to lift Perry (3-1).

Koby Adu-Poku carried 20 times for 103 yards for Boardman (1-3), while JR Ryan completed 5 of 8 passes for 86 yards, an interception and a 14-yard TD pass to Travis Koontz early in the fourth quarter. Erick Ritz led the Spartans in tackles and recovered a fumble. Adam Deeley made a 20-yard field goal.

For Perry, Keishaun Sims carried 35 times for 167 yards and Trevion Cleveland caught four passes for 89 yards, including a 44-yard TD from Max Baker. Baker went 6 of 10 for 117 yards.

Brookfield 30, Liberty 0

BROOKFIELD

Augestus Necastro threw three touchdown passes to lead the Warriors (3-1). Caleb Hunks caught two of them covering 16 and 25 yards.

Kasey Tingler caught the other one, a 30-yarder. Tingler also kicked a 44-yard field goal. Xavier Bailey returned an interception 85 yards for the Warriors’ other score.

Necastro passed for 128 yards by completing 8-of-15 passes.

For the Leopards (0-4), Andree Bowers completed 7-of-11 passes for 75 yards.

LaBrae 28, Campbell 14

CAMPBELL

Keevon Harris ran for a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns to lift LaBrae (3-1).

Carlton Brown threw for two touchdown passes, one to Tariq Drak and another to Isaiah Carmichael, for the Vikings.

Darian Jones rushed 15 times for 56 yards and a TD and Yanni Koullias carried 11 times for 69 yards and returned a kick 83 yards for Campbell (1-3).

Western Reserve 9, Springfield 7

BERLIN CENTER

T.J. Henry sacked Tigers quarterback Graham Mincher in the end zone for the game-winning points.

The Blue Devils (2-2) took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter when quarterback Wyatt Larimer scored on a 1-yard run. Henry’s sack followed a few minutes later.

With 1:29 remaining, Mincher caught a 63-yard touchdown pass from Frank Centofanti for the Tigers (2-2).

Larimer rushed for 97 yards on 20 carries while Joey Stubbs gained 92 yards on 15 carries.

Lisbon 42, East Palestine

LISBON

Josh Liberati completed 12 of 18 passes for 210 yards and five TDs for Lisbon (4-0). Jason Thompson rushed 25 times for 164 yards and a TD, while Jared White caught four passes for 117 yards and two TDs.

Parker Sherry completed 20 of 37 passes for 313 yards for the Bulldogs (1-3), including seven to Jarrod Figley for 175 yards. Sherry also carried 20 times for 64 yards.

United 39, Southern 20

SALINEVILLE

Colton Graham completed 8 of 12 passes for 200 yards and two TDs to lead United (2-2). Tyler Powers caught four passes for 137 yards and a TD, while Colton Antram rushed seven times for 97 yards and a TD. Tyler Powers (52 yards), Cade Wood (32 yards) and Graham also ran for TDs.

Gabe Richards carried 28 times for 195 yards and three TDs for Southern (1-3).

West Branch 45, Minerva 7

BELOIT

T.J. DeShields threw two touchdown passes and Marcus Hoopes had a 19-yard TD run and made a 22-yard field goal for West Branch (3-1, 1-0 Northeastern Buckeye Conference).

Trae Hillyer and Robert Lozier also ran for TDs, Jeremy Gorby and Austin Smith caught touchdowns and Brett Butcher returned a kickoff 94 yards for a score for the Warriors.

Minerva is 0-4, 0-1.

Salem 10, Canton South 9

SALEM

D.J. Pullie ran for a 5-yard TD and Max Righetti made a 35-yard field goal for Salem (4-0, 1-0 NBC), which led 10-7 at halftime and held on. Canton South is 1-3, 0-1.

Ash. Edgewood 43, Newton Falls 7

ASHTABULA

Josh Walters threw for 136 yards, including three to Allen Boone for 114 yards, and Walters also ran 18 times for 56 yards for NF (0-4).

Alex Wisnyai threw for 160 yards and three TDs to lead Edgewood (1-3).

Champion 9, Girard 7

GIRARD

Eric Karafa’s 20-yard field goal as time expired gave the Golden Flashes a victory at Arrowhead Stadium. Champion (2-2, 1-0 All-American Conference, Blue Division) trailed 7-0 until Noah Bayus ran for a 19-yard touchdown late in the third quarter.

Girard (0-4, 0-1) took a 7-0 on Zach Ryser’s 43-yard interception return in the final minute of the first quarter. The Indians’ offense, however, struggled and produced just 153 yards and 11 first downs.

Eric Fenstermaker rushed for 131 yards on 13 attempts for the Golden Flashes. Nate Stahlman added 54 yards on 19 carries and Brandon Allen had 34 on 11 attempts. Bayus ran three times for 21 yards, including Champion’s only touchdown.

Jackson-Milton 44, Leetonia 6

NORTH JACKSON

Joey Burnside ran for 113 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries, Noah Laster returned a kickoff 70 yards for a TD and Anthony Italiano ran for two TDs as the Bluejays (4-0) stayed perfect.

Burnside ran for scores of 4 and 24 yards, Italiano ran for TDs of 1 and 21 yards and Marty McKinney added a 10-yard TD run for Jackson-Milton.

The Bluejays’ defense limited the Bears (1-3) to just 2 total yards. Leetonia ran 32 times for -38 yards. Danny McCool scored the Bears’ lone TD on a 17-yard run in the fourth quarter.

South Range 7, Mineral Ridge 0

MINERAL RIDGE

Seth Morrow scored the game’s only touchdown on a 2-yard keeper and the Raiders’ Aniello Buzzacco intercepted a Rams pass with 1:30 to play to clinch the victory.

South Range (3-1) got 161 yards on 26 carries by Ethan Dominguez. Morrow added 67 yards on 16 carries. The Raiders finished with 249 yards on 49 attempts.

South Range held Mineral Ridge to 137 total yards, but the Rams (1-3) drove to the Raiders’ 38 on their final possession before Buzzacco’s interception.
