Quarterback Bobby Jefferson ran for two touchdowns and threw two scoring passes to Jacob Coates as the Eagles beat the Ironmen in the North Coast League opener for both teams at Mollenkopf Stadium.

Jefferson threw TD passes of 30 and 21 yards to Coates and the East transfar also add an 8-yard scoring run and 1-yard TD run. Evan Boyd had 8- and 9-yard TD runs for Warren JFK (5-1, 1-0).

Devon Adams ran for 196 yards and two TDs for Cleveland Central Catholic (0-6, 0-1).

POLAND

The Vikings visited Dave Pavlansky Field on Saturday night in the North Coast League opener for both teams and won big. No other details were reported.

Valley Christian fell to 0-6 overall and 0-1. VA-SJ is 4-2 and 1-0.
