The scoop: Mayfield is coming off a defensive performance that limited a Chardon offense that scored at least 42 points a game in its last three games to 10 points in a 22-10 victory. Wildcats running back Michael Canganelli has rushed for 1,442 yards and 18 touchdowns this season while quarterback Mario Monastero has 1,956 yards and 24 touchdowns by air. Harding is riding high after winning its first playoff game in 10 seasons with a 31-20 upset win against No. 2-seed Madison. Quarterback Lynn Bowden is the second-leading rusher in the Mahoning Valley with 1,537 yards and 17 touchdowns.
DIVISION V Region 15
1 Crestview vs. 5 LaBrae
Kickoff: 7:30 p.m. at Spartan Stadium, Boardman.

Records: Crestview (9-2); LaBrae (9-2).
Coaches: Paul Cusick (Crestview); John Armeni (LaBrae).
The scoop: Crestview brings a high-powered offense to Boardman, having scored 50-plus points four times this season. A lot of that comes from running back Zach Hicks, whose rushed for 1,694 yards and 30 touchdowns. In the team’s first-round game against Berkshire, Hicks tied a school-record by scoring six touchdowns in the Rebels’ 56-36 win against Berkshire. LaBrae also boasts a big time playmaker in senior running back Keevon Harris, who scored four touchdowns and ran for 365 yards in the Vikings’ 42-7 rout against Grand Valley.
DIVISION VII Region 23
1 Warren JFK vs. 4 Toronto
Kickoff: 7:30 p.m. at Austintown-Fitch Falcon Stadium, Austintown.

The scoop: Toronto already has downed one of the area’s teams, vanquishing Mathews, 49-7. Warren JFK is coming off a blowout victory of its own, downing Sandusky St. Mary Central Catholic, 28-7. Running back Evan Boyd leads the Eagles’ offense with 936 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns.

DIVISION IV Region 11
1 Peninsula Woodridge vs. 5 Ursuline
Kickoff: 7 p.m. at Hudson Memorial Stadium, Hudson.
Radio: WNIO-AM 1390.
Records: Peninsula Woodridge (11-0); Ursuline (6-5).
Coaches: Jeff Decker (Peninsula Woodridge); Larry Kempe (Ursuline).
The scoop: Ursuline is expecting to score more than the 13 points the Irish put up in its 13-3 win over No. 4-seed NDCL. The offense will like go as far as running back Kimauni Johnson and quarterback Jared Fabry will go on the ground. Games against Benedictine, Archbishop Hoban and Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary left Ursuline with a .500 record in the regular season, but should have the team prepared for the likes of Woodridge. The top-seeded Bulldogs are carried by dual-threat quarterback Mason Lydic, who has 1,735 rushing yards and 1,727 passing yards. King Alfred Sanders, and yes, that’s his real name, is Woodridge’s other 1,000 yard-plus rusher. He’s put up 1,047 rushing yards and scored 21 touchdowns this season.
DIVISION IV Region 13
1 Steubenville vs. 5 Salem
Kickoff: 7 p.m. at Dr. Robert H. Hines Stadium, Minerva.
Radio: WSOM-AM 600.
Records: Steubenville (10-1); Salem (10-1).
Coaches: Reno Saccoccia (Steubenville); Ron Johnson (Salem).
The scoop: Top seed Steubenville has scored 40-plus points seven times this season, including a 53-point and 60-point game in the regular season. The Big Red is coming off a 40-0 win against Indian Creek. Salem’s Matt Weingart has led the Quakers to one of its better seasons in recent history, compiling 1,336 passing yards, 21 touchdown passes and just three picks.
DIVISION VI Region 19
1 Kirtland vs. 5 Brookfield
Kickoff: 7 p.m. at Twinsburg Tiger Stadium, Twinsburg.
Radio: WBBG-FM 106.1.
Records: Kirtland (10-1); Brookfield (10-1).
Coaches: Tiger Laverde (Kirtland); Randy Clark (Brookfield).
The scoop: Kirtland is has played in the last four state championship games, finishing as the runner up last year. The team’s lone loss to Grand Valley this year snapped a 56-game regular season winning streak that stretched back to 2009. The Hornets depend on their running game paced by Joey Bates, who has 1,373 yards and 16 touchdowns on the season, and David Allchin’s 760 rushing yards and eight touchdowns. Brookfield’s seniors are the winningest in program history with 36 victories so far and are led by the school’s all-time leading passer, Augustus Necastro. The aspiring surgeon has the second-most passing yards in the Valley with 1,899 and has tossed 25 touchdown passes and eight picks.
