Boardman’s defense kept the Spartans in the game but could not overcome a struggling offense. The Spartans (0-7, 0-3 Federal) gained 110 yards on the ground led by Mario Graziani with 51 yards. Sean Birchfield passed for 90 yards and Travis Koontz had two catches for 66 yards. Hoover (3-4, 1-3) outgained Boardman 247 yards to 200.

HOWLAND
Howland (5-2) overcame an 8-0 first-quarter deficit with a 23-point second quarter. Jaqore Marrs ran for 121 yards and Tyriq Ellis added 73. Both ran for touchdowns. Jacob Smith passed for 69 yards including a 34-yard touchdown to Austin Baker.

CAMPBELL
Liberty’s defense held Campbell to 139 yards on 52 plays and the Leopards scored two touchdowns in the first quarter and two in the third. Lynn Bowden rushed for 118 yards and passed for 71 for the Leopards (6-1, 4-0 AAC National). Ben Phillips added 69 yards on the ground and caught two passes for 37 yards. The Red Devils (0-7, 0-4) were led by Aaron Jackson with 64 yards on the ground and Isiah Williams with 48 yards rushing.

GIRARD
The Indians held a 330-124 edge in total yards but did not put away the Golden Flashes until a fourth-quarter touchdown. Girard (6-1, 4-0 AAC National) set up a showdown at Liberty next week . Jacob Ryser ran for 128 yards and Randy Walters added 97 for the Indians. Champion (1-6, 1-3) got 62 yards on the ground from Mason Brown.

JEFFERSON
Lucas Hitchcock completed 7 of 9 passes for 130 yards and four touchdowns and Sam Hitchcock caught three passes for 101 yards and two TDs for Jefferson (6-1, 3-1 AAC National), which led 42-0 at halftime. Josh Walters completed 5 of 12 passes for 42 yards and Alan Boone had two catches for 28 yards to lead Newton Falls (1-6, 0-4).
Springfield 42, East Palestine 7
EAST PALESTINE
Ryan Kohler ran for three touchdowns from scrimmage and added a punt return for a score for the Tigers (5-2, 3-1 ITCL Tier 1). Kohler had 100 yards rushing and also caught four passes for 88 yards. Graham Mincher completed 14 of 16 passes for 184 yards and Brandon Chamberlain caught six passes for 63 yards.
East Palestine is 2-5 and 1-3.
McDonald 49, Southern Local 0
MCDONALD
Jake Reckard needed just seven carries to rush for 150 yards in McDonald’s win over Southern Local. Reckard ran for two touchdowns, while Caleb Dimery added another for the Blue Devils (7-0, 4-0). Southern Local (1-6, 1-3) had just 62 total yards in the game.
Western Reserve 43, Leetonia 21
BERLIN CENTER
Western Reserve rolled to a 25-0 halftime lead and got back to its winning ways. The Blue Devils (6-1, 3-1 ITCL Tier 2) totalled 404 yards with good balance, 227 on the ground and 177 through the air. John Clegg passed for 160 yards, Evan Nesbitt ran for 85 and Joe Falasca caught four passes for 83 yards for Western Reserve.
Leetonia (1-6, 0-4) got 104 yards rushing from Colton Gudat.
Brookfield 41, Edgewood 0
BROOKFIELD
Brookfield scored all of its points in the first half and cruised to a shutout victory over Edgewood. Chris Johnson ran for 57 yards and two touchdowns and Augustus Necastro ran for 55 and two scores, while also throwing for another. The Warriors (4-3) held Edgewood to under 50 yards runshing and 100 yards passing.
West Branch 35, Carrollton 31
CARROLLTON
Mason Hughes had 19 carries for 100 yards and 2 touchdowns to lead the Warriors. Hughes's touchdowns came from 1 yard and 2 yards out. Corey Snyder added touchdown runs of 1 and 9 yards respectfully for West Branch (3-4). Snyder added 141 yards passing. Kip DeShields had seven tackles for West Branch. The Warriors had 301 yards on the ground and 442 total yards. Tyler Dood had 210 yards and two touchdowns for Carrollton (4-3).

SALEM
The Quakers (2-5, 0-4 NBC) couldn’t keep up with the passing game of Marlington’s Chris Pennell. The sophomore completed 29 of 46 attempts for 294 yards for the Dukes (4-3, 4-0). Cam Cooper caught 12 of the passes for 148 yards. Kade Byland rushed for 44 yards for Salem and Matt Weingart passed for 56.

EUCLID
The Raiders (1-6, 1-2) fell to their Lake Erie League rivals on the road. No details were reported. Earlier Friday, Harding Superintendent Steve Chiaro announced the Raiders will forfeit September victories over Howland and Maple Heights after it was determined an eligible player participated in both games.
