BOARDMAN

A kickoff return of 80 yards by Mario Graziani late in the third quarter tied the game at 14 and Boardman forced Massillon Perry into overtime but could not come up with its first win of the season, falling 20-14 in one extra session. An interception ended Boardman’s possession in overtime, then the Panthers (4-2, 2-0 Federal) ran the ball five consecutive plays to score.

Graziani’s kickoff return followed a Keishaun Sims fumble return for a score for Perry. In the second quarter, Sean Birchfield hit Travis Koon for a 25-yard touchdown pass for the Spartans (0-6, 0-3). The Spartans ran for 146 on 34 carries led by Graziani with 73 yards on 10 carries. Braxton Berry led Perry with 117 yards rushing.

Struthers 19, Brookfield 10

STRUTHERS

A.J. Musolino ran for one touchdown and threw for two more, rallying Struthers (3-3) from a 10-6 deficit in the fourth quarter. Musolino carried 11 times for 76 yards and scored on a 1-yard run on the first play of the fourth quarter. He clinched the win with 1:44 left when he hit Anthony Clark on a 23-yard TD pass. He also had a 7-yard TD pas to Austin Yemma late in the second quarter. Musolino finished 8 of 10 for 74 yards through the air. Luke Witkowski ran 20 times for 80 yards and Christian Nemeth carried four times for 69 yards. Nate Morrison led Brookfield (3-3) with 11 carries for 69 yards, Tommy Hutchinson had a 15-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown and Kasey Tingler made a 36-yard field goal.

LaBrae 28, Campbell 12

CAMPBELL

Chris Mathews ran 15 times for 104 yards and two TDs and caught three passes for 35 yards for LaBrae (4-2, AAC National). Joe Percich carried 18 times for 118 yards and a touchdown and caught a pass for 50 yards. Arjay Oliver added 63 yards on five carries with a touchdown. Stephan Elash completed 5 of 13 passes for 98 yards and a 10-yard TD pass to Edgar Toledo for Campbell (0-6, 0-3).

Hubbard 56, Niles 6

HUBBARD

Hubbard quarterback Cam Ingram completed three passes for three touchdowns and Larry Scott added to his rushing total with 291 yards on the ground in the Eagles’ dominating victory over Niles. Scott had three rushing touchdowns, as the Eagles (6-0) ran for 436 yards as a team. George Hill, Ethan Wassil and Isiah Scott were on the receiving end of Ingram’s touchdown strikes. The Eagles scored all 56 of their points before the 4:00 mark of the second quarter. The Red Dragons (1-5) got a late touchdown from Corey Hayes.

Champion 20, Newton Falls 0

CHAMPION

Mason Brown ran for two touchdowns and Champion’s defense held Newton Falls to minus-72 yards rushing in the win. Nate Stahlman led the Flashes (1-5, 1-2 AAC National) with 25 carries for 129 yards. Brown added 38 yards on 12 carries as Champion outscored Newton Falls 20-0 in the second half. Brandon Allen found Eric Fenstermaker on a 36-yard TD in the fourth quarter to put the game away. Josh Walters completed 12 of 31 passes for 183 yards and two interceptions for the Tigers (1-5, 0-3). Alan Boone caught five passes for 83 yards and Brad Mitchell had five receptions for 74 yards.

Lisbon 41, Crestview 35

NEW WATERFORD

Josh Liberati passed for 303 yards and three touchdowns to lead Lisbon which moved into a six-way tie for first place in the Inter Tri-County League, Tier One. The Blue Devils (5-1, 2-1) added 174 yards on the ground led by Jason Thompson’s 102 yards. Crestview (3-3, 2-1) got 188 yards on the ground from Zach Hicks, 122 and two touchdowns from Tyler Stratton and 66 to go with 100 passing yards from Jesse Best. After a back-and-forth first three quarters, Crestview held a 28-27 lead heading into the final 12 minutes. Frankie Morrell’s 4-yard scoring run with 5:49 remaining put Lisbon back on top and Liberati connected with Thompson for a 52-yard scoring play at the 3:05 mark. Best and Hicks teamed up for a 59-yard scoring pass for the Rebels with 2:15 left to close out the scoring.

United 14, Springfield 7

NEW MIDDLETOWN

Colton Antram ran for two first-half TDs and United’s defense held the Tigers to just 179 yards of total offense. Antram ran 18 times for 73 yards and Caige Vincent added 25 carries for 118 yards for the Eagles (5-1, 2-1 ITCL Tier One). Graham Mincher completed 9 of 15 passes for 125 yards, a touchdown and an interception for Springfield (4-2, 2-1). Nathan Simboi caught three passes for 51 yards and Ryan Kohler had two receptions for 45.

South Range 49, East Palestine 7

NOrth Lima

Joe Alessi scored three times and had 158 yards on 10 carries to lead South range (4-2, 2-1 ITCL). Alessi had runs of 72, 3 and 35 yards for touchdowns. The lone bright spot for the Bulldogs was a 77-yard touchdown run by Nick Monteleone in the second quarter. East Palestine falls to 1-5, 0-3.

Columbiana 34, Jackson-Milton 18

COLUMBIANA

Clippers sophomore quarterback Mitch Davidson completed 13 of 24 passes for 255 yards and three touchdowns. Nick Nemick caught two scoring tosses covering 40 and 6 yards. Dylan Davin scored on a 72-yard pass play. Tim Rankin returned a kickoff 73 yards for Columbiana (4-2, 2-1 ITCL Tier One). For the Bluejays (3-3, 0-3), Mike Assion completed 13 of 28 passes for 163 yards. Adam Smith scored TDs on two of them (26 and 24 yards). Assion rushed for 119 yards, including a 4-yard TD.

Lowellville 38, Leetonia 13

LOWELLVILLE

Lowellville scored the last 20 points, breaking away from an 18-13 game just before half, to stay unbeaten in the ITCL Tier Two. The Rockets (4-2, 3-0) led by just five after Leetonia (1-5, 0-3) scored on a 47-yard pass play from Drew Turney to Josh Faulkner with just 1:25 remaining in the half. Alex Harklerode then connected with Van Vanover for a 30-yard scoring play with a minute remaining and Phil Ginnis tacked on two short rushing TDs in the second half to put the game away. Ginnis finished with 186 yards and three TDs, Harklerode ran for 101 yards and Eric Grow added 81 as Lowellville totaled 401 yards on the ground. For Leetonia, Turney also ran for a TD besides his scoring pass and Colton Hudat gained 59 yards on the ground.

Sebring 37, Southern 0

SALINEVILLE

Nate Martin ran for a 60-yard touchdown for the Trojans (4-2, 1-2 ITCL2). Rob Rouse returned a fumble 33 yards for a score and Brett Weekly recovered a fumble in the end zone for a TD. Anthony Cranston, Ty Breedlove-Wilson and Nick Rine also ran for touchdowns. Southern is 1-5, 1-2.

Warren Harding 30, East Cleveland Shaw 14

Quin’Dez Stubbs rushed for 125 yards and scored two touchdowns for the Raiders (3-3, 2-0 Lake Erie League). Lynn Williams found Marlin Richardson for a 29 yard TD pass. Kalen Simpson scored on a 4-yard run.

Minerva 37, Salem 0

MINERVA

Salem mustered just 155 yards from scrimmage on the night compared to Minerva’s 397. Dalton Hartshorn ran for 213 yards to lead the Lions (2-4, 2-1 NBC). Matt Weingart passed for 104 yards for the Quakers (2-4, 0-3), Blake Hochadel had 69 yards receiving and Kade Byland rushed for 39 yards.

Louisville 51, West Branch 0

LOUISVILLE

West Branch (2-4, 1-2 NBC) was outgained 537 yards to 101 as Louisville (5-1, 3-0 Northeastern Buckeye Conference) notched the 600th victory in the school’s history. Connor Zwick passed for 273 yards and four TDs on 12-of-13 passing. West Branch quarterback Corey Snyder was 9-for-17 for 52 yards and Kip DeSheilds had four catches for 27 yards.

Indian Creek 14, Beaver Local 7

Robert Johnston ran 78 yards for a touchdown on the first play from scrimmage for the Beavers (3-3).

Mathews 36, Ledgemont 6

THOMPSON

Brian Leipply carried 17 times for 84 yards and two TDs and completed one pass for a 55-yard TD to Robbie Helmick, who also caught a 30-yard pass from Coby Pratt. Pratt also ran eight times for 51 yards and a TD for Mathews (3-3, 2-0 NAC).

Reuben Childs ran three times for 23 yards to lead Southington (1-5, 1-3), which managed just 8 total yards.
