Southington rallies to edge J-Milton

Austin Casper completed 17 of 31 passes for 190 yards as the Southington High football team rallied for a 21-19 victory over Jackson-Milton on Saturday.
Friday, Jackson-Milton led 17-7 at halftime when a power failure caused the game to be suspended. The Bluejays increased their lead to 19-7 when a high snap went out of the end zone.
Dylan Nezbeth’s 4 yard touchdown run and two-point conversion sliced the lead to 19-15. With 3:21 remaining, Justin Len caught a 28-yard touchdown pass from Casper for the win. Len also caught a 71-yard scoring pass in the first quarter. Bluejays quarterback Jeremy Fitzpatrick scored two 1-yard touchdowns and booted a field goal. He completed 20 of 34 passes for 203 yards.
Southern 19, Waterloo 7
SALINEVILLE
Mike McKenzie ran for touchdowns of 1 yard, 34 yards and 17 yards to carry the Indians to the win. The 34-yard score came in the third quarter and helped Southern overcome a 7-6 halftime deficit.
Wellsville 31, Toronto 6
TORONTO
Jordan Sloan threw touchdown passes of 24 yards to Seth Bradford and 10 yards to Camden Douglas to lead the Tigers. Zack Mellott added a 32-yard scoring run.
Mineral Ridge 30, Fairport Harding 18
FAIRPORT HARBOR
Mike Eaton rushed 15 times for 130 yards and touchdowns covering 27 and 57 yards in Friday’s game. John Baker completed eight of 18 passes for 127 yards.
