Western Reserve QB named offensive POY in D7

YOUNGSTOWN
Western Reserve senior quarterback Nick Allison shared offensive player of the year honors in Division VII, headlining a list of seven area players who made first team All-Ohio in Divisions VI and VII on Wednesday.
Allison completed 137 of 206 passes for 2,006 yards, 20 TDs and two interceptions in the regular season for the Blue Devils, who won their first 13 games before falling in the state semifinals to Glouster-Trimble.
Allison shared the award with Covington RB A.J. Ouellette, Glouster Trimble QB Konner Standley and Delphos St. John’s RB Tyler Jettinghoff.
Western Reserve senior linebacker Dan Zilke also made the first team. He was joined by Wellsville senior defensive back Marcus Moxley and Mineral Ridge senior defensive back Jon Baker.
Youngstown Christian junior WR Darien Townsend made the second team, as did teammate Tymere Dubose (a defensive lineman), Lowellville senior lineman Michael Minnie and Southington senior linebacker Brendan Baugher.
Making the third team were Western Reserve junior WR Joe Falasca, Western Reserve junior OL Hunter Powell, Warren JFK junior QB Michael Roscoe, Sebring senior RB Dylan Mick, Mathews senior DL Mason Barr, Mineral Ridge senior LB Josh Goss and Lowellville senior LB Jesse Terwilliger.
In Division VI, South Range junior RB Joe Alessi, South Range senior DB Billy Goodall and Jackson-Milton senior WR Thomas Gatewood all made the first team.
South Range senior OL Garrett Sorley made the second team, as did McDonald OL Carson Williams, Jackson-Milton senior QB Jeremy Fitzpatrick and Springfield junior DL Mark Schuler.
Brookfield senior RB Joey Clark, Columbiana senior OL Mike Buzzard and Jackson-Milton senior LB Tyler Shaffer made the third team.
