Ben Angelo helps power Canfield past Beaver Local

Ben Angelo carried 10 times for 129 yards and three touchdowns and caught a 48-yard touchdown pass from Mike Hughes to power the Canfield High football team to a 34-14 win over Beaver Local in an All-American Conference Red Tier game.
Hughes completed 6 of 11 passes for 136 yards, a TD and an interception for the Cardinals (6-1, 1-1), while Jimmy Rousher caught three passes for 76 yards.
Phillip Beohm had a 94-yard kickoff return for a touchdown and added a 1-yard TD run in the fourth quarter for Beaver Local (1-6, 0-2).
Campbell 35, Champion 8

Ja’les Hughes carried 16 times for 97 yards and two TDs to lead Campbell (5-2, 1-1 AAC Blue).
Dom Patton scored on an 81-yard TD run and also caught a 33-yard TD pass from Brandon Reyes. Patton finished with three catches for 79 yards.
Reyes completed 6 of 10 passes for 150 yards and David Horvath returned an interception 34 yards to open the scoring.
For Champion (2-5, 0-3), Michael Cyrus ran 22 times for 41 yards and a TD.
Newton Falls 28, LaBrae 27
Newton Falls
Newton Falls’ Chance Marsh ran for a 5-yard touchdown in overtime and Matt Brazin completed the conversion pass to C.J. Gregory to give the Tigers (1-6, 0-2 AAC Blue) the upset.
LaBrae’s Matt Szorady ran for a 9-yard TD to start the overtime period and Karrington Herron made the PAT.
Gregory carried 19 times for 108 yards and two TDs, including a 35-yarder early in the fourth quarter that tied the game at 20. Brazin added 15 carries for 79 yards and completed 11 of 22 passes for 81 yards, a TD and two interceptions.
For the Vikings (5-2, 2-1), Szorady carried 19 times for 139 yards and two TDs.
Lakeview 33, Liberty 18
LIBERTY
Anthony Franco passed for 204 yards and ran for 111, accounting for two second-half touchdowns, to lead Lakeview (3-4, 1-1 AAC White).
Ryan Scott added 66 yards rushing and a TD, and Jake Pishotti ran for a score and caught a scoring pass.
Sharron Walls ran for 125 yards and two TDs for Liberty (0-7, 0-3).
Jefferson Area 42 Hubbard 20
JEFFERSON
Brandon Harb threw for two TDs and Ashton Owens had another but eight turnovers doomed Hubbard (4-3, 1-1 AAC White).
