Quinlan runs, passes Brookfield over Trinity

BROOKFIELD

Quarterback Jeremy Quinlan accounted for 178 total yards and three touchdowns to lead Brookfield over Trinity 28-9 on Friday night.

Quinlan rushed for 118 yards on 12 carries, scoring once, and he completed 6 of 9 passes for 60 yards and two TDs, to Brandon Mosora and Joe Clark.

Ryan Mosora led the Warriors with 162 yards rushing on 14 carries, and Tyler Miller added a TD rushing on his only carry.

Brookfield amassed 296 rushing yards and 356 total.

BELOIT

Brenden Wells carried 21 times for 85 yards and Troy James completed 10 of 13 passes for 69 yards but the Warriors couldn’t find the end zone.

Christian Hauber carried 23 times for 163 yards and a fourth quarter touchdown to lead the Hornets, while wide receiver Zach Santo completed his only pass of the night off a bubble screen, hitting Jake Finkler for a 37-yard touchdown in the third quarter.

Jared Lyon added a 43-yard field goal.

West Branch’s Tyler Pidgeon intercepted a pass, Jake Mull recovered a fumble and Bo Utley blocked a field goal.

Southington

Waterloo jumped out to a 14-0 lead before Chalker could answer. Kyle Reynolds connected with Dillon McCoy from 7 yards out to cut the score to 14-7. Waterloo added 7 more before Connor Oakford scored his first of two TDs on the night. The second score came in the third quarter.

Waterloo ran for 438 yards on the ground and 5 touchdowns. Waterloo’s shortest touchdown run came from 38 yards out.
