Austintown Fitch, which improved to 5-0 with a 43-21 victory over Can. GlenOak last weekend, has moved into the top 10 of the Associated Press’ weekly high school football poll.

The Falcons, who travel to Massillon Jackson on Friday night for a Federal League game, improved five spots in the poll.

Western Reserve (5-0) also made its first appearance in the top 10, in Div. VI.

The Blue Devils, who defeated Lowellville 35-6 last Friday and play host to unbeaten Southern (5-0) this weekend, are No. 10 in the small-school division.

Southern is No. 17, making its first appearance in the poll this week.

Ursuline remained No. 1 in Div. V, picking up seven more first-place votes. The Fighting Irish (5-0), who play host to St. Thomas Aquinas on Saturday night, have 29 first-place votes and 361 total points, ahead of Kirtland and Hamler Patrick Henry.

Also in Div. V, Crestview (4-1) moved into the poll at No. 22.

In Div. II, Howland slipped to No. 8 despite picking up another first-place vote and 44 more points overall.

The Tigers (5-0), who play host to Beaver Local on Friday night, have three first-place votes and 160 points, one behind Toledo Central Catholic.

In Div. III, Cardinal Mooney dropped one spot to No. 10. The Cardinals (2-2) play host to Buffalo (N.Y.) St. Francis on Friday night.

Also in Div. III, Hubbard (3-2) moved up one spot, to No. 17, despite losing to Lakeview, while Salem (4-1) fell out of the poll despite winning over Liberty, 33-20.

In Div. IV, Campbell Memorial (5-0) moved up one spot, to No. 17, and Girard (4-1) moved into the poll for the first time, at No. 20.

Last week, Campbell defeated LaBrae 27-0 and will visit Salem on Friday night, while Girard, which defeated Champion 42-14, plays host to Hubbard this weekend.

All of the poll leaders remained the same from last week — Cleveland Glenville (Div. I), Cincinnati Turpin (Div. II), Steubenville (Div. III), Elyria Catholic (Div. IV), and Delphos St. John’s (Div. VI).
