S. Range rallies, topples Trinity

NORTH LIMA
The South Range High football team scored three touchdowns in the second half to turn back Garfield Heights Trinity 28-14 on Friday.
David Buzzacco, Phil Arsuffi and Alex Dickey ran for second-half touchdowns covering 53, 5 and 3 yards respectively to lead the Raiders (2-1).
Ethan Witmer added field goals of 41 and 31 yards.
Top rusher for South Range was Floyd Kenney who ran 20 times for 100 yards.
Buzzacco completed six of 16 passes for 83 yards.
Trinity (1-2) led 7-6 at the half on a 6-yard rush by Jarrod Gerhing.
Crestview 28, Tuscarawas Valley 21
COLUMBIANA
Jacob Danks caught a 14-yard TD pass from Carter Hill with 10 minutes left and Crestview’s defense did the rest in a back-and-forth contest.
Hill rushed for 101 yards on four carries and scored two TDs for the Rebels (2-1). He also completed 7 of 16 passes for 72 yards.
Jacob Danks had two interceptions on defense, while Tom Oliver and Andrew Mayer each added one, with Mayer running it in from 8 yards out late in the first half.
Tyler Dozier caught two touchdowns for Tusky Valley (2-1).
United 14, Rootstown 0
ROOTSTOWN
Josh Miller returned the opening kickoff 84 yards to put the Eagles (2-1) ahead. Brett Ward scored a fourth-quarter touchdown on a 2-yard run.
Quarterback Josh McLaughlin rushed for 107 yards and passed for 55.
Lisbon 20, Wellsville 7
LISBON
Josh Cook connected with Zac Barnes in the end zone twice for Lisbon (1-2). One score was for 8 yards, and the other for 16.
Marcus Moxley scored the only points for the Tigers (1-2) on a 66-yard touchdown pass from Jordan Sloan.
W. Reserve 33, Southington 0
BERLIN CENTER
Jeff Clegg completed 11 of 17 passes for 161 yards and three TDs and he also rushed four times for 51 yards with a touchdown for Reserve (3-0), which scored all its points in the first half.
Thomas Benyo caught four passes for 76 yards and a TD and Riley Sheptock had three receptions for 58 yards with a score. Southington is 0-3.
Mathews 21, Leetonia 20
LEETONIA
Joe Siefert scored on a 45-yard fumble return with five minutes left to help Mathews rally from a 20-7 halftime deficit.
Jimmie Hoffman scored on a 9-yard TD pass from Tyler Hunt on the first play of the third quarter and also had a six-yard TD run in the first half for the Mustangs (2-1). Wade Prueitt rushed 19 times for 135 yards.
Leetonia’s statistics were not available. The Bears are 1-2.
Southern 34, Toronto 0
SALINEVILLE
Zac Puckett rushed 14 times for 110 yards and a TD and also caught a touchdown pass to lead Southern (3-0), which held Toronto to just 42 total yards. Jake Boyle completed 11 of 17 passes for 169 yards and three TDs, hitting Trey Griffith seven times for 95 yards. Toronto is 0-3.
Sebring 33, Youngstown Christian 14
SEBRING
Aaron Oblisk returned a kickoff 77 yards for a score and rushed for an 11-yard touchdown for the Trojans (2-1). Youngstown Christian is 0-3.
Grand Valley 41, Jackson-Milton 0
ORWELL
A.J. Henson rushed for three touchdowns to help Grand Valley (3-0) past Jackson-Milton (0-3).
Jeromy Rockafellow and Travis Pelles also scored touchdowns on the ground for the Mustangs, who rushed for 304 yards. Mitchell Lake added a score when he returned a fumble to the end zone.
Grand Valley finished with 480 total yards to the Bluejays’ 108.
