Jackson’s big night helps Cards roll past Beavers

Blake Jackson rushed for 112 yards on 11 carries and a touchdown for the Canfield High football team, which beat Beaver Local 38-0 in an All-American Conference Red Tier game Friday.
Canfield held Beaver Local (1-6, 0-3) to 116 yards, 36 rushing.
Jimmy Rousher caught two passes for 24 yards and a TD. Jordan Italiano had a 1-yard TD run for the Cardinals (4-3, 1-1), who led 24-0 at halftime. Mike Hughes and Jason Sabol also scored.
Dan Lattanzio carried six times for 40 yards for the Beavers.
Lakeview 34, Liberty 6
CORTLAND
Bulldogs QB Anthony Franco passed for 188 yards, including a 69-yard TD pass to Toma Leveto on the game’s first offensive play.
Franco completed 10 of 14 passes and scored on a 5-yard run. Leveto led the Bulldogs (5-2, 3-0 All-AAC White) with 76 yards rushing on five carries. His two receptions gained 97 yards and he scored on a 60-yard run. Trevor West scored TDs on runs of 1 and 3 yards.
For the Leopards (1-6, 0-3), Jamaal Daniel caught a 78-yard pass from Charles Perdue. Perdue rushed 22 times for 111 yards and passed for 170 yards.
Hubbard 45, Jefferson 6

Danny Duvall scored four touchdowns to lead the Eagles.
Duvall scored two rushing touchdowns, each from 1 yard out, and caught passes from 14 and 35 yards for TDs.
Quarterback Mike Lupuchovsky completed 10 passes on 17 attempts for four TDs for Hubbard (5-2). Duvall and Tyler Duez each caught two scoring throws.
Colin Cicone completed 5 of 14 passes for Jefferson, including a 16-yard TD to Jonathon Hubler.
Salem 34, Struthers 21
SALEM
Trent Toothman threw three TD passes and rushed for one to lead the Quakers. Toothman had 15 carries for 119 yards and went 16 of 22 for 226 yards passing.
Toothman connected with receivers Trent Kenreigh, Marcus Crittenden and Charles Shrontz all in the first quarter, giving Salem (6-1, 3-1) a 21-0 lead after one.
Jermayne Brooks scored one of his three TDs in the second quarter, giving Struthers a 21-7 deficit at half. Brooks finished the night with eight carries for 11 yards.
LaBrae 21, Newton Falls 17
LEAVITTSBURG
Matt Szorady rushed for 179 yards and scored a pair of TDs for LaBrae in an AAC Blue Tier game.
Szorady’s two scores, both measuring 3 yards, and a 17-yard TD run by Carl Brown, gave the Vikings (3-4, 1-2) a 21-7 lead after one quarter.
Anthony Kline scored on a 29-yard run, and Eric Kline had a 22-yard scoring pass from Cody Dillon for Newton Falls (1-6, 0-2).
Anthony Kline rushed for 71 yards and Eric Kline caught five passes for 65 yards.
