Southington United Methodist Church, state Route 395 at 534, Southington, will serve chicken dinners from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Meals include 1/4 chicken, scalloped potatoes, green beans, applesauce, coleslaw and homemade desserts. Calvary United Methodist Church, 12062 South Ave. ext., North Lima, will have a drive-through homemade chicken dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. (or until sold out) . Dinners include stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and a brownie. The cost is $6. Drive up to the door and a volunteer will bring the meal to your car. Central Christian Church, 2051 E. Market St., Warren, will have its 59th strawberry social from 4 to 7 p.m. Available will be hot dogs, sloppy Joes, potato salad, homemade pies and cakes and old-fashioned strawberry shortcake. VFW Triangle Post 2799 Auxiliary, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve spaghetti dinners with meatballs, salad, bread and coffee or tea from 4 to 7 p.m. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12. Carryouts are $6.25.


Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea.
