NORTH BEAVER TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Mohawk's ground game enabled the Warriors to run past Ellwood City Wolverines 60-37.
NORTH BEAVER TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Mohawk High used a punishing ground attack Friday to defeat Ellwood City, 60-37.
The Warriors (4-2) built a commanding 46-6 lead by intermission. John Upham rushed for 245 yards on 18 carries, which included touchdown runs of 1, 37, and 49 yards to spark Mohawk.
The Wolverines (0-6) were paced by Joseph Galmarini who gained 82 yards on 10 attempts. He scored on 18 and 45 yard runs and also ran over a pair of two-point conversions.
Mohawk finished with 394 yards rushing and 48 passing, compared to Ellwood City’s 172 rushing and 42 passing.
