• Warren Women’s Connection has scheduled a “Salute to Teachers” luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 11 at Aulizio’s Banquet Center, 4395 Youngsown-Warren Road, Warren. The soloist will be Ann Martineau, and Connie Beard will speak on "How to Avoid Being Caught in an Ever-changing World. The cost is $10. GUILDS

• Youngstown Chapter of the Embroiderers Guild of America will meet at 10 a.m. and again at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the IOOF Hall in Canfield with Linda Gwinnup presiding. The project will be a pincushion doll presented by Sue Sizer. Members are reminded to take stitching supplies and magnification/lighting, if necessary. Guests are welcome.
