Liberty (Division III)

Liberty (Division III)

Head Coach: Jeff Whittaker

Coaching Staff: Tom Cornicelli, Dave Davis, Ed Whittaker, Larry Blazina, Jerron Jenkins, Jay Cripe, Gary Knittle, Jim DeToro, Chris Lowry, Gary Hendrick

Last year’s record: 6-4

Summary: With two Michigan recruits in RB Fitzgerald Toussaint and DB Isaiah Bell and another big-time prospect in LB Julius Ferrell, Liberty has the pieces in place to make a run at the White Tier title and a playoff berth. Toussaint, who rushed for 1,400 yards and 24 TDs in nine games last season, might be the area’s fastest and most electrifying player. Bell is a heavy hitter, as is Ferrell, who missed half of last season due to injury. The Leopards have seven starters back on each side of the ball but need to replace a good group of seniors.

Returning Lettermen: Jamon Wagner, Isaiah Bell, Fitzgerald Toussaint, Antonio Kinard, Ryan Pennington, Adam Britton, Jesse Dew, Matt Britton, Julius Ferrell, Anthony Cleveland, Jakob Leon, J.D. Harris, Jordon Wagner, Quincy Harris, Jacob Richards, David Berry, Payton Elwonger, Ian Lanney, Aaron Bussard, Randy McElroy, David Drinnon
