ALLIANCE — The Alliance High football team scored three touchdowns in the first half Friday to defeat Chaney, 23-0.

After a first-quarter safety, Aviators quarterback Logan Nordquist threw a 20-yard touchdown to John Andrews for a 9-0 lead.

Jordan Merrell hit Nick Holly with a 36-yard scoring toss while Jeff White scored on a 4-yard run for Alliance (2-0).

The Cowboys (0-2) rushed for 100 yards while giving up 213 yards in the air. Merrell completed four of seven tosses for 122 yards. Holly caught four passes for 97 yards.
