This week’s moral for the Pigskin Pick ’Em panel is “Thank Goodness We Don’t Pick Pointspreads.” Lost in all the hubbub over the projected Boardman-Euclid margin of victory prediction by a
colleague in Cuyahoga County was the fact that seven of the 10 panelists on the Pigskin Pick ’Em did, in fact, also pick Euclid. Well, hey, we were wrong. That was one of the few hiccups for sports writer Tom Williams, whose 18-2 week kept him one game ahead of WFMJ sports director Dana Balash. Five-time defending champion Joe Scalzo, meanwhile, fell further off the pace with a
16-4 week. The rest of the panel feels bad for Joe … we really, really do.
