The Vindy crew met with the Penn National bosses a couple weeks back for a lengthy sitdown on the plans for the Hollywood Racino that opens Wednesday, and the business overall, Ohio's gaming prospects, and more.

At one point in the chat, we all discussed Youngstown's history of gambling, and if that is good or bad for their business.

The Penn National boss immediately broke into a pleasured smile.

He was well aware of the Valley's extensive gambling history. Of all their startup ventures in the gaming business, starting up here was a bit more unique, he offered. And smiled.
