Movember has started, and lawyers from Harrington, Hoppe and Mitchell have jumped on the crusade.
What October is to breast cancer awareness and fundraising, http://us.movember.com/">November is to male prostate cancer. And in the spirit of the male presence, a national awareness group adjusted the month’s spelling just a bit, to Movember, with the humorous nudge for men to sport a mustache for a month. The “little bit of lip love” is to this effort what pink is to October. (Example: http://us.movember.com/prizes/view/id/123">Win a mOscar)
Last year, I grew a Movember mustache as part of a group out of downtown Youngstown’s William Leonard Extraordinary Gentleman hair salon. Find their site on Facebook as they are still cheering on Movember. I, personally, am opting out of the growth this year, http://media.vindy.com/content/image/2011/11/hawtness.jpg">and here’s why.
But it will be fun to watch the guys from Harrington, Hoppe and Mitchell take part.
True to form, they’ve embraced one aspect of Movember that sets apart this effort from the many other worthy health awareness campaigns.
Movember uses a lot of irreverence and humor to get attention to their cause.

The HHM site will be updated regularly with their photos throughout the month. And I’ll visit them in a couple weeks.
