While folks are readying themselves for the big Boardman-Mooney high school football match this Friday night, The Vindicator has what it believes are equally interesting matches between the schools.
We’ll be hosting a tailgate party with our Blitzmobile Friday at the game. We’ll be in the north parking lot outside Boardman’s field. Stop by for a free hot dog and drink. We’ll be hosting it from 5:30 p.m. Friday right up until kickoff.
And while noshing, check out what will be two exciting competitions.
First, eight students each from Mooney and Boardman will square off in video football competition. The Boardman crew was stellar in video football last year when the Blitzmobile visited last season. This will be Mooney’s first turn at the game.
Secondly, and more impressively, we have Mooney teachers squaring off vs. Boardman Township officials in a game of corn toss.
The Mooney teachers will be Nicole Fiddler and Nick DiFrancesco. Boardman will be represented by Trustee Kathy Miller and “a player to be determined.”
