A Spelling Bee victory dance that an NFL'er would love
by Todd Franko | 340 entries
We're getting set for our 2008 Spelling bee this Saturday — our 75th year.
But before looking ahead, take one last look at John Umble celebrating his win at last year's bee.
It's a celebration dance that would make an NFL receiver envious.

We'll have a fun story tomorrow from reporter Harold Gwin on contestant John Crowe, 13, the Byzantine Catholic Central School champion. Spelling isn't something John has to work hard at, he admitted this week to Harold.
The son of Paul and Roberta Crowe of Lowellville said it just that it seems to come easy for him.
“I won one year, and it was fun, so I wanted to do it again,” he said. He went four rounds, a very good performance for a fourth grader.
The bee is 9 a.m. Saturday in the Chestnut Room of Kilcawley Center at Youngstown State University. The event is free. Spectators are asked to park at the YSU deck off of Wick Ave.
