Congressman Tim Ryan was visiting the polling place at Harding Elementary School on Youngstown's North Side Tuesday afternoon when he joined a group youngsters in a game of football. Ryan, you see, is a former "star" quarterback for John F. Kennedy High School in Warren.
According to eyewitnesses, the young players weren't intimidated by his size or his political position. "They were tackling him," said one observer.
Fortunately, Ryan had inconsequential opposition in today's general election, so he won't have to worry about a job for two more years. As for football ... the Browns are playing the Broncos Thursday and the game will be televised, congressman.
