A previous blog on ReadyAir's contract with the Western Reserve Port Authority to provide fuel and maintenance services at the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport raised the issue of how company owner Robert Moosally, who has a criminal record, was able to make the deal.

Even more intriguing was Moosally's success in securing a bank loan backed by the Small Business Administration and a loan from Trumbull County government.

A front page story in Sunday's Vindicator provides a part of the answer to the question: Moosally has friends, acquaintances and business associates in high places.

If you missed the Sunday piece you should either read it online or get a Sunday newspaper. The revelations will prompt you to join the call for a federal investigation into the ReadyAir contract.

What has been revealed so far is just the tip of the iceberg. Former business associates of Moosally's are now beginning to talk. At some point, the question, "How did ReadyAir get the airport contract?" will be answered either in print or in a court of law.
