With his criminal record receiving a great deal of publicity, Robert Moosally's lawsuit against the Western Reserve Port Authority over its fixed-based operation contracts has taken a backseat to a slew of questions about how his company, ReadyAir, was able to get government loans.
And the fact that Moosally failed to make loan payments has turned the spotlight on Trumbull County government.
In the wake of the questions raised, a federal investigation is warranted seeing as how the airport receives millions of dollars in grants from the Federal Aviation Administration.
Moosally says he never hid the fact that he had served time behind bars, but with ReadyAir as one of two FBOs at the airport the other is Winner Aviation the feds should be asked to step in to provide an objective analysis of Moosally's company.
One of the main questions that must be answered is this: Who interceded on ReadyAir's behalf with the airport authority and Trumbull County government?
